Summer Intensive 2025

Information:

  • The Summer Intensive begins on June 16, 2025, with the last day on July 26, 2025, spanning six weeks.

  • Classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 5 PM to 9 PM.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required during registration, with the remaining non-refundable balance due by June 1st.

Requirements:

  • Participation in the ICB Summer Intensive is by audition and acceptance only

  • The audition is open to dancers aged 10 through 14. Dancers must be at least ten years old by their audition date.

  • All dancers must register online for an audition. No walk-ins or Zoom auditions are accepted.

  • We are excited to announce an exclusive opportunity during Summer Intensive - master classes with Alexei Moskalenko, Associate Artistic Director of YAGP.

  • Summer Intensive students intending to compete in the YAGP 2026 semi-finals are eligible to apply for private lessons with Alexei Moskalenko

  • Participants should arrive with a prepared solo for their private lessons.

Program Dates

About ICB SI

Illinois Classical Ballet is now inviting children ages 10-14 to join our Summer Pre-Professional Ballet Program. This program is specifically designed to help young dancers prepare for professional ballet schools, college performing arts programs, or a career in ballet.

Admission to the Summer Pre-Professional Program is by audition only.

Classes will begin on June 16 and run for six weeks, ending on July 26.

Dancers who successfully complete the Summer Pre-Professional Program will have the opportunity to enroll in our year-round Pre-Professional Training Program without the need for an additional audition.

Curriculum:

Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Accepted students will receive their class schedules before the commencement of the sessions.

Classes for the 2025 Summer Intensive will consist of

  • Classical Ballet Technique

  • Pointe Technique

  • Classical Ballet Repertoire & Variations

  • Choreography & Composition

  • Strength & Conditioning

  • Floor Barre & Pilates
